UI ARC hosts the Addiction Medicine Lecture Series, which is 2 hours per week of didactics covering a breadth of addiction medicine topics spanning clinical care, research, and policy. Presentations provide a forum to educate, discuss, and interact with addiction medicine professionals.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Physicians, residents, fellows, medical students, nurses, nurse practitioners, social workers, physician assistants, psychologists, and other health care providers.
OBJECTIVES
- Recognize substance use disorders across clinical environments and how these disorders affect healthcare outcomes.
- Analyze and apply current knowledge on treatments of substance use disorders to clinical practice.
- Employ multidisciplinary teams in the treatment of substance use disorders.
